One of the greatest gifts about homeschooling is being able to travel with our kids anytime. We decided to take the kids to the Johnson Space Center in Houston Tx and I am so glad we did. The kids all loved it!
Our boys are so enthralled by Elon Musk and Space X that they are always watching what he is up to. I wasn’t sure if Jonathan would really have a good time at the Johnson Space Center however I was wrong! He had an absolute blast, they all did.

These two were sitting in a chair for one but were holding hands while they watched. Such sweetness! Sister got a seat all to herself. The three of them sat there for the entire simulation with wide eyes full of awe. This simulation was one of their favorites!

The colorful space suits have her complete attention.
They have many different space suits on display and we spent about an hour just looking at them all. They had inner layers, outer suits, new suits and they even had some contest winner suits on display. I cannot imagine any of our astronauts wearing them! All of the kids really enjoyed looking at the suits, it was the quietest they had been all day! Each of the kids just stood in awe soaking up each detail they could. We all greatly enjoyed the space suits!
Hands on
They have these really cool interactive stations that the kids loved! Caroline needed a little help with this one, it was heavy!
I can’t remember exactly what this station was demonstrating but my kiddos were totally into it! They each waited for their turn and then helped each other out.
We took the tram over to another area of the Johnson Space Center to see the space shuttle and the floor where NASA is working on all kinds of projects.
They really do love each other!.
There was so much to see and I cannot describe it all. While you are walking through there is a guide that explains the stations and what is going on down on the floor. I could have stayed there all day just asking questions & observing what they were all doing. I really wanted to be down on the floor playing with the robots.
We had a blast at the Johnson Space Center and the kids already want to go back. As a homeschooling mom going to the Johnson Space Center is a must!
